Your heart chakra is located within your heart and is connected to love, compassion, harmony, and peace. If you are feeling unable to give or receive love or show compassion, your heart chakra might be blocked. It might be blocked from something that happened recently or many years ago. If your heart chakra is out of balance you will usually have feelings of anger, grief, hatred or jealousy. When your heart chakra is open you will have feelings full of love, forgiveness and compassion.
When your heart chakra is out of balance it can cause problems in all areas of life, including physical pain. Therefore it is very important to pay attention to this chakra and bring it into balance whenever needed. One way to do this is to meditate and change your perspective on things. Changing your attitude from anger to gratitude can make all the difference in the world. Easier said than done, however if you spend some time meditating, it can help tremendously.
Sit quietly (or put on some soft music with no words...the Insight Timer App is a great resource) in a comfortable position with your spine long. Set a timer if you think this will help (5 minutes minimum).Take some long deep breaths to settle in. Start to focus on your breath then you can introduce a mantra or affirmation to say over and over silently to yourself. Some examples are "I am grateful" "I am love" "I am forgiving" "Love flows easily and frequently" or come up with your own. Try this for several days in a row and keep the affirmations in your mind during the entire day and especially right before bed time. Much Love
